Why does my Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 not turn the drum?
Would like to carify why Hotpoint 1100 does not turn the drum but does take in the required water for the wash, i suspect it is the brushes but not sure, could any1 help?
I had the same problem on my Candy Turbomaic. Called Candy, excellent service and told me to try replacing a 'capacitor' in the rear of the machine. This is far, far simpler than it sounds. Took the part ( a small cylindrical object with two push in wire connectors and bolted with one bolt to the machine frame) to a domestic appliance shop. Replacement part cost £9. Fitted it it, problem solved!

Its the cheapest option and usually the correct one.
I had the same problem last year on my Siemens model and had problems getting spares due to machine 10 yrs old.
Had to make do with compatible brushes.
It's happened again so I'm looking for something new.
