Without a model number I can only guess and say the heating element is around $50.00. Try using a putty knife in the space between the front and top panel. Towards each end of the panels there is a spring clip. Push on the putty knife to release the two clips and raise the top panel. You will have access to the element once this panel is raised. Hope this helps.
