Mend Citroen C5 Light Dash Computer

revs will not go above 2 ?

i have anti-pollution fault light on dash computer my citroen c5 will not let me go over 2 revs any ideas why? if i do engine still goes but will not accelerate but i turn ignition off then back on & it goes ok again but still have to keep under 2 revs, had erg valve & high speed fuel pump replaced 12 months ago

sounds like your particle filter in your exhaust might be blocked.Not 100% sure on Citroen same symptoms on Peugeot there is a pressure sensor before and after the cat measures exhaust pressure if cats blocked with soot you get hi reading before the cat usually.causes anti polution message hope this helps.
