e2 safety level fault smeg d1409c?

My smeg integrated dishwasher is not completing the program and is showing fault e2 in the user manual.
The book says its the safety level, this it says is the system which limits the water which has been tripped.
I tried interrupting the program and switching off/on and re-programing but it has done no good .
Any help would be appreciated.
