Mend Homelite 360

Check for spark Homlite 360?

Need to know how to check for spark. This is a 360 Homelite,the transformer is external which fits over the end of the spark plug and bolts to the saw at the front of the cylinder. What am I missing here?

Not sure what you mean by a transformer, some machines have a pick up box next to the flywheel and an ignition coil in the plug cap, check for a spark from the cap to earth exactally as it fits to the top of the spark plug.
