Mend Smeg ASM4330 Oven Manual Pressed

new oven won't heat up?

my smeg ASM4330 new double oven does not heat up. In the manual it says DEMO function. I thought this might be why so I pressed to appropriate buttons for 3/4 seconds as instructed but did not get a bleep. can I by pass this and try something else?
