Mend Zanussi TD 520 Dryer Repair Motor

Zanussi TD 520?

The drum in my Zanussi TD Dryer will not turn. The machine powers up ok, the dials light up, and it makes noises as if trying to turn. (Belt is not broken - Drum turn by hand when I open the door and turn it)

there is a capacitor attached to the motor to aid the startup.if this has failed it will buzz but not rotate drum.remove lid.start dryer.whilst buzzing push the drum around to help the motor start.if it rotates ok then this is a faulty start capacitor and a new one is required

BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING AND MANUALLY PUSHING DRUM!!!
