Mend Cuisinart FP100

spindle on grater blade broken and came out of blade?

My model is FP100 - probably one of the first made. The spindle is cracked and separated from the top part where is hooked onto the blade. I still have the parts. I would prefer to buy a replacement, but if a repair kit would not be toxic to the food, I would consider it.
