indesit w113 help?

I have an indesit w113 that must have been the worst one off the production line. I recently changed the bearings in the drum and everything went fine. The machine as been running ok since. Now the machine won't start any program at all. The light flashes to say that a program as been selected and it stays lit but all I hear is a click but nothing else happens. When the dial is set to end program it does end program and the light goes back into wait for progam mode ie flashing again so I am assuming the dial is ok any ideas where to check next please...
