Turn it off and then turn the dial to one of the off, black dot positions. Turn it back on and it should reset. Turn it off and then start again with your original setting. The Indesit WD10 doesn't like you turning the dial half way through a progam.
Mine started the dial turning bit all by itself and though it did reset it wouldn't start. The power light would come and and then nothing. Just a clickI cleaned out the filter trap. That's under the bottom cover on the front. You just pull the bottom cover off and undscrew the black plug. Lots of water will come out and it will smell! Sometimes things get stuck in the trap and stop the pump from turning. That will stop the machine running. I then found a note that worn brushes on the main motor can also make the machine stop. Sure enough I checked those. It's easy enough if you lay the machine over (after disconnecting the powe and water) on to its right or left side. You can get to the brushes easily enough then without having to take out the motor. I cleaned mine up and that did the trick. They are worn down though so I'll be ordering news ones asap.
Hope that info helps someone.
