Indesit WD10 fault code?

Just taken a programmer apart for this machine it appears the edge connector terminals are a bit corroded, ordered a new programmer to discover the edge connector terminals are modified, could this be a design problem with the older model.

cleaned the connectors, touch wood seems to be working.

Oh! I forgot to mention that the module for the Indesit WD10 is highly sensitive to strong radio signals in its neighbourhood. If you have a neighbour who has radio equipment in the form of directional antannas and other dish or moveable directional antennas it could play radiation on the unshielded circuit board and cause it to malfunction, and if the programmes are out of timing with the board and programmes selector knob it may cause permanant damage to the circuits on the module.

The programme selector knob spinning round continually seems to be a common complaint. No coherant answer exists. The main circuit board is quit elaborate with lots of solid state relays, a few duel in line chips, and a large HD6433642B82P micro processor (the above code may vary). I suspect it could be a malfunction on the main circuit board caused initially by a programmed circuit periferal malfunctioning. The obvious thing, and that which is written in the user manual, is the extraction pump or filter has malfunctioned. Sometimes this can be intemittant, and the circuit board together with the programme selector knob when set to stop/reset or the black spot shall come right again. This is probably because capacitance and or inductance has drained away from the circuit board after a lenghty 5-10 minutes or more period of disconnection from the mains supply. It is wise to state here the malfuction may be within the rinse circuit arrangement and periferals.

Such a repetative malfuctioning may cause permanant damage to some small components on the module. If the schematic for the module could be obtained, then the module and the diagram could be taken to an electrician into electronics or an electronics technician for component testing.

The above details only relate to conditions where the motor, the input and output pumps, the switches, and any other obvious periferals have been checked.

Finally found out fault code 3 means open or short circuit on thermistor above heating element. I thought as much as it showed no continuity when checked on the meter. 10-14 days wait for parts. Couldn't wait that long so binned it and got a new washer only.
