ford cargo 811 c reg what battery ampage should it need?

I had lots of starting problems with my Cargo 0813. I decided to upgrade to two 12v batteries. The two that I had were not a matched pair but were both fairly high cranking amps. I wired them in parallel which doubled the amps but maintained the 12 volts. It has started brilliantly ever since. Best thing I have ever done to the lorry!

110 AmpereHours should be plenty. I usually use a 643 battery for a Cargo with the 110 hp engine (which you have) and a 643 is a 95 AH battery - and no problems. A 643 can deliver about 660 A starting current and the starters fitted to Cargos use about 120 A "running light".
110 AH means 110 Amps for 1 hour or 220 Amps for half an hour or 440 Amps for 15 minutes etc - up to the maximum current (e.g. 660A) -for 10 minutes- so you can't extend that to 1100 A for 6 minutes!
