high pitch squeeling noise ?

i have a 53 plate fiesta tdci and there is a high pitch noise coming from the power steering pump but when i take the fan belt of and run it it seems to still be there. would be gratefull if anybody knows what this could be as i dont want to change the pump and it's not that
