Mend ford fiesta zetec Ford Fiesta Car

ford fiesta zetec?

The car makes a high pitch squeek soon after starting . Could it be the water pump . It is from the general area around the cam belt. As soon as you start the car there is no noise it comes after about 5-10 seconds.
Is it difficult to change the pump if that is the problem?

Not sure why the cam belt tensioner is in the last answer. May mean fan belt tensioner. The cam belt is something else. Squealing if often caused by a dirty fan belt. Try squirting WD40 at it while it is running. If the noise stops replace the FAN belt.

TAKE OFF THE ALTERNATOR BELT AND START THE CAR, IF THE NOISE DISAPEARS THEN THE PROBLEM IS WITH EITHER THE BELT OR THE ALTERNATOR UNIT OR POWER STEERING UNIT, IF THE NOISE REMAINS THEN REPLACE THE CAM BELT PLUS TENSIONER AS THIS CAN CAUSE NOISE, OTHERWISE YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE WATERPUMP AS WELL IF THIS IS FAULTY. GET A HAYNES MANUAL AS THIS WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO DO THIS.
