How can i fix my brother knitting machine kh890?

hello can you help? i have a problm with the machine needle going all the way through so it can catch the thread,the needle just dosnt go through can you recomend a local and reasonable machanic. thank you

IT COULD BE THAT YOUR SINKER PLATE HAS BEEN DROPPED AND SLIGHTLY OFF LINE...HAVE A CAREFUL LOOK ALONG THE LINE AND MAKE SURE IT IS NOT BENT A LITTLE

Hi,
It sounds as if your carriage is not properly seated on the needlebed. Remove the sinker plate then remove the carriage.
Replace it, making sure that it is resting evenly on the needlebed and that the front is not raised. Then put the sinker plate on making sure that it seats properly on the positioning lugs.
