Mend Everex VA4300M Laptop Power Battery

Laptop will not come on?

I have an Everex VA4300M. When I turn it on I can hear it running, but will not come on. My battery seems not to be charging. Could this be my problem? It was coming on every once in a while, but then go black. Now it just won't come on.
