what dose this mean ?

usually if you remove tape cassette and leave the camcorder in the open position, stand camera in airing cupboard or close to (not on) a warm radiator or blow warm air from a hair dryer into the cassette area (hold hairdryer about a foot away from camcorder so you do not overheat anything) this usually works. Sometimes just taking the unit from the living room to a colder room or steamy room (pans on the cooker, kettle boiling etc.) can cause the condensation warning, this is a safety cutout to stop you putting a tape in when dampness is present as this would cause the tape to stick to the recording heads and ruin both the heads and tape. REMEMBER YOU ONLY HAVE TO "WARM" GENTLY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO OVERHEAT, CASSETTE DOOR OPEN AND POINTING UPWARDS IF POSSIBLE TO ALLOW DAMP TO ESCAPE
