Is it possible to use BT studio 1100 in Bangladesh?

I have followed instruction manual except the line in cable which doesn't fit in my TnT outlet. So I have replace it with local cable and that fits fine. But the problem is I don't get dial tone, neither I can receive any call. Apparently the phone line LED blinks as if it's working properly. Can anybody help in this case.
