Mend Volkswagen Caddy SDI 55 Vw Sdi

vw caddy wont start unless its parked with the front end facing down bank?

after being parked for a few hours(sometimes less) my 55 caddy sdi wont start without it turning over for quite a while i think the fuel is draining back into the tank have had a non return valve fitted to fuel line and return but no luck can anyone help

We had the same problem with an 07 plate caddy, VW replaced the fuel pump which solved the problem.
