Mend Potterton EP2000 Heating Controller

how can i remove controller potterton ep2000?

i want to loosen the controller for decorating purposes but cannot see how it comes off the wall. can anyone help please?

on the bottom face of the timer, there is a slot, use a flat bladed screw driver to push the tab in, the clock will then hinge up from the top. make sure you turn off the power before you start.
