Mend Peugeot 206 Turn Work

What does "eco mode" mean when i turn on the ignition ??

When i turn on the ignition, nothing happens, all lights & radio work, just comes up "eco mode"
The car is a 206 style on a 51 plate

year i was listening to the radio and it automaticly switched off and said eco mode on. i could not switch it back on and the low warning batteri came on.

The 206 should go in to eco-mode when the battery gets even slightly low and it should say that on the computer panel.
