Mend Ford Focus Time 51 Plate

ford focus cutting out, lose speedo, then dies next time you stop?

i have a 51 plate ford focus, 1.8 petrol, and about twice a week the speedo drops to zero, and slight loss of power, then you know when you pull up next, it will cut out. turn the key and restart, and its fine?....any ideas? thanks

Definitely the speed sensor, fitted by Ford dealer approx £70-£80.
