Mend Screen Half Black

The screen goes half black!?

I've sucessfully installed the cam, and after about 3-5 minutes of having it active (On msn) Loads and loads and loads of small blue lines will cover 2 thirds of the screen!
Then after about 30 seconds of that the 2 thirds of the screen will go completely black!
And It won't tell me what's wrong!
What should I do?

Try to uninstalled the webcam, unplugged it, then plugged it in again. see how that does
