I’ve had the same problem, and there is no need to replace the zipper. I found a product called ZipperAde that works great. It is an inexpensive, undetectable, and washer/dryer safe solution that keeps your zipper from falling down. Check it out at www.zipperade.com.

When the locking mechanism in a zipper pull fails, you may need to replace the whole zipper. It is nearly impossible for most people to acquire the correct size and type of new pull
to go on your garment. If it is a coat zipper, you MAY be able to get just the pull replaced by a seamstress or dry cleaner. But rather than stress yourself over the parts,
it may be easier to just replace the whole zipper.
