Mend Ceiling Light Broke

Can I buy a replacement spring clip for a recessed ceiling light? ?

I broke one of the 2 reteining springs for a ceiling light, the springs that hold the round fitting into the hole in the ceiling. Can I buy a spring or do I have to buy a new fitting?

If you can get the details of the spring to a local spring maker, I'm sure they would make one for you.
However, the cost might be more than the replacement cost of actual unit.
