I have threaded the top half of the machine and have inserted a bobin with a spool in to the bottom of the machine.
I have lowered the needle which should cause a loop of cotton to appear from the bottom of the machine - this is not happening. The needle just comes back up empty.
I have checked that the bobin has been loaded correctly

Make sure you have the needle in the correct way round and that it is perfect, if that does not work you may need to retime the machine.
