Mend Kirby G3 Replace Remove Spindle

How do I replace the fan on my Kirby G3 vacuum?

On my Kirby G3, the fan got all chewed up. I have all the parts but I'm having trouble getting the old one out! How do you remove the spindle in front of the fan???
