My sons ped had same issue. check connection on ht coil. it is located rear right side attached to frame and visible without removing any plastic. it is exposed to weather and road crap. clean connectors and pinch with plyers to make tight fit.

i know this isnt an answer but I have been looking EVERYWHERE to try to find out how to get access to where the spark plug is on the v-clic. I have recently bought an 08 model which has done 1500 miles. new battery and serviced in oct last year. It has not been used during this spell of cold weather and the only think i can think that is the problem is the spark plug but just cant get to it! please help!

try disconnecting the ignition switch and kickstarting it and see if it goes then if it does then the ignition switch is faulty .also it could be the side stand switch plying up have a look at it and see if its moving in and out ok when you put the stand up and down .obviously there are alot of problems that can cause a loss of spark the cdi may have packed up and its not uncommon on these peugeot v clics as they are a chinese budget bike made under license from peugeot its the same a baotian 50qt and a starway 50qt.also the stator coil may have packed up that generates the primary source of power for the ignition system.
