Mend Peugeot 306 HDI Changed

peugeot 306 hdi does not start?

My Peugeot 306 hdi 1999 does not start, i have changed the glow plugs, it still does not start 3 glow plugs were not working.
If i tow it will go right away.
When warm it still does not start.
Can you help please, the fault code is po381 which is a glow plug circuit.

hi all i have a similer prob with my 306 hdi 99.its just taking longer to fire up all the time eathen when it has been running and tic over is spot on.please can some 1 help me.

Thank you Jim, there is power at the glow plugs and it times itself out, the battery is very good and turns the engine over 500 rpm, the fuel pressure is also OK.
The engine still does not start, it only starts when you tow the car.
Does any body know if the glow plug relay signals the ECU to start the engine as well?????

using a multimeter or test lamp,check to see if there is power to the glow plugs when the ignition is switched on. also, is the engine sluggish at turning over on the starter motor? if so, could be a tired battery or starter motor, but check all the electrical connections first. it's also worth bleeding the fuel system!
