Mend Iveco Edc Fuel

2004 iveco tector edc code shown = low fuel pressure?

Hi , 2004 iveco tector 7.5 t 70000 miles .It has a fault code on the edc which the garage told me relates to low fuel pressure ,the the engine runs smoothly but wont rev over 2700 rpm also it is completeley down on power. It will get to 56 mph on the flat but even the slightest of hills it slow down to very low speeds please tell what needs changing to recify the problem .MANY THANKS .

hi I have an 05 plate Iveco daily it currently starts but when you hit 2500 rpm it brings on the warning light (injector) light will stay on for roughly 10 sec then if you let the engine revs drop the light will go out but when back up to 2500 rmp it does the same . have checked the low pressure fuel pump and that's spinning up fine . Can someone please help

try tightening injector rods,22mm nut pinches rod into injector, they wear and become loose causing fuel pressure to drop! its 1 of the main faults that will put the EDC light on....easy fix!

I would start with changing all the fuel filters as in this cold weather the fuel thickens and will show up as a fault like you have. In the last 3 weeks i have had to do this on 5 trucks even the ones that have had filters changed.

Can be many things, lift pump, blocked filter, hp pump worn, pressue regulator on pump, rail pressure sensor, injectors worn.

As a starting point get a leakback test done on the injector to see if one is leaking significantly more than the others.
