Worcester junior 28j?

My boiler started playing up last night, lights flashing, scary noises. I followed Bobs advice and defrosted outside pipes and the boiler now seems to be working fine - as long as it is only heating the radiators. The minute that I turn a hot tap on the green ignition light goes out. Any advice please?
