lights in cargo area dont turn off?

i have a 55 plate transit jumbo,it had a strobe and beacon light fitted but have been taken off.the cargo lights work but do not switch off so im having to disconnect them by hand.i was wandering if they could be put on to the strobe light switch and how.i do not know anything about wiring but it seems to me that it should be able to be done
