Mend De Dietrich DOD438 Oven Fan Turned Hot

How can I fix my De detreich oven Model DOD438*?

I recently used the fan oven, but quickly turned it off when I saw that the very back was glowing red hot.
Now it doesn't heat up on the fan oven setting, but thankfully still works on the other settings.
Is it the element I need to replace?
