Mend Leisure Cookmaster 101 Fan Cooker Fine

Leisure cookmaster fan oven not working?

Everything else on the cooker works fine, except the fan oven which has no life at all. The red panel light does not come on when the knob is turned. Could a broken thermostat stop it working or would it just make it too hot or cold ? Is the fan oven individually fused ? Cooker is a Leisure cookmaster 101 and only 2 years old.

I just experienced this exact same issue and thank you for the advice regarding the timer. There were no indicators on the display, only the clock showing, however by setting a time and then cancelling it the oven is now operational again!

My oven tripped out and now the fan oven wont work the light comes on but nothing else ..but the other oven is still working help any ideas ?

Thanks all of you for your messages, you've just saved me the price of a new cooker.
The A was flashing on our display and the fan oven wasn't working.
We've just reset the clock and the lights have come on!

Now I feel like a complete idiot, no, I am an complete idiot. I've just asked my daughter to demonstrate the timer to me and the poxy thing sprang into life. I thought as I had turned it off that this would reset any previous fiddling with the timer. At least I have only wasted one day on it. Thank you very much GTS, you have saved me many hours of further unnecessary disassembly. Thanks Vince.

it just occured to me,have you checked its not set on auto?as this will stop the oven from starting up,and it will stop light from coming on too

it sounds very much like a open circuit thermostat,
