Mend Nissan Wiper Motor

how can I fix a Nissan Wiper motor drive?

The windscreen wipers were operated whilst frozen to the widscreen. The motor and gearbox can be heard to function but there is no drive to the 2 windcreen wiper assemblies. Is there a shear pin in the final drive and how is a repair carried out?
