Mend Peugeot 206 Revving Petrol Idle

why is my 206 1.4 over revving?

my step daughters peugeot 206 1.4 lx petrol had the idle stepper motor and the crankshaft sensor replaced because it kept on cutting out, now, the reverse is happening, it is over revving most of the time.

what may be causing this???
