drivers door wont open using keys or fob?

mine was same took it to bodyshop / sprayer cos they always taking off locks n such... he got into passenger door and took off inner door trim, if it's the same prob as mine the lock mechanism had gone.. as in they are a sealed factory unit.. and a lifting/returning spring had come off hook and lodged inside casing of lock so door lock wouldnt open with key or central locking..
am just waitin for new lock from internet £29.38... then £20 for him to refit...

got same prob the central locking opens the rest of the cat and the button pops up on the drivers door but the door is well and truly locked, can't open it from inside and can't from outside, it's as though its deadlocked?
no resistance in handle on outside nor inside....?

any info would be appreciated
