Fault code f-02?

Rang Indesit customer services on 24/04/2010 re our Indesit WE16 washing machine ceasing to work and displaying this code F-02.

They said 'The motor may have jammed or the techo detached. Check the motor and module connectivity'.

They suggested a (chargeable if the machine is out of warranty) engineer visit to check the motor and module connectivity. They then asked so many questions that are not relevant to the engineer visit before they would give an estimate for the cost of the engineer call out that I said I would just buy a new machine.
