Where can I find a second hand passenger seat for a 2006 Peugeot 206? ?
I also have a problem with the passenger seat in my 206, first registered in 2006. Apparently there is a rachet broken inside which cannot be mended. Peugeot say a new seat would cost approximately £650 which is obviously out of the question. The passenger seat is hardly ever used so this should not have happened. Peugeot have offered me a 'discount' of £280 if I have a new seat and have it fitted by Robins and Day in Bristol. I still think this is unsatisfactory so was intending to look for a second hand one so am amazed to see how many other people have the same problem.
It's a weak point on 206's (and 206cc's). Obvious place to start is the scrapyards - find one that's been written off. Get a seat and transfer your seat covering to it.
Personally, I'd consider drilling and bolting the existing seat in one position on the runners.
However, with the car so new the Peugeot dealer's discounted offer looks attractive too.
