Mend Peugeot 106 1.5 diesel Diesel Timing

problem with timing on peogeot 106 1.5 diesel?

i have put a replacement engine in my peugeot 106 1.5 diesel car.the replacement engine had a bosch injection pump and mine is a lucas.i locked the engine with timing pins on the crankshaft,camshaft took out the bosch pump and its mounting plate,fitted my lucas pump,injection pipes and injectors.i timed it with a new timing belt and had the crankshaft,camshaft and injection pump all locked with pins.my trouble is engine is very rough, starts just but you have to give it full revs and it is like spitting back through inlet will not tick over at all.i have checked cam belt timing and all is spot on.does anyone know of problems with this engine as i am lost.engine sounds like timing is off but i have checked it and it is on.

thanks for reply.i swaped pumps so i could use my own imoberliser code i thought putting on the lucas pump in place of the bosch would make no difference as it is the same engine.yes i swapped injectors over i also swaped the mounting plate for injection pump.the injection pump is fixed riged to mounting and does not turn.the engine i got was running fine when i got it with the bosch pump.i cant refit the bosch pump as it broke as i was trying to get imoberliser off it.i am going to try and turn the pump pully 180 degrees and refit timing belt and see if that makes any difference.will let you know what happens.

why did you swap pumps over?
generally they are good did you swap injectors over?
you need a special tool to time up this engine.i have though had the engine running and turned the pump till it ran ok! be carefull thougt doing this!
also is your new engine ok?
