How can I fix a floor standard lamp?

I am trying to find a plug transformer for the lamp. The spec taken off the top of the transformer is: VT60CE-B, PRIM: 230V 50Hz, SEK: 12VAC 60W, ta = 45 degree max.
Does anyone know where I can find a suitable replacement

Stooby's advice is good, however I have a memory from electronics theory many, many years ago that transformers are typically 98% efficient. If this is so, a 60W transformer will produce no more than about 2W of heating - hardly enough to be worrying about. The 60W lamp however is another matter - that will get hot.

I am often wrong in the rubbish I put on here.

Maplin sell a low voltage transformer rated at 60VA (60Watt), part number NL50E. You need to be able to wire a 13 Amp plug to this, using what is called 0.75mm square flex. The unit measures 114mm x 20mm x 30mm (L x H x D). Then you need to connect the output from this transformer to the lamp. Cut the wire from the lamp as close to the plug transformer as possible [you are sure this has failed and is not a broken lamp or dirty contacts in the lamp holder, or failed switch, if there is one?!!], and wire it into the new transformer. This unit will run quite hot, so it must not sit on thick carpet or underneath anything at all, you could screw it to a piece of sheet metal or sit it in on a sturdy metal box, and do make sure it is never moved. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD PROVE A DANGEROUS FIRE RISK! If you are not absolutely sure what you are doing, do not attempt this yourself, but employ a certified electrician.
