Mend Making Sound Wrong

how can i fix my fridge/freezer?

my fridge/freezer is making a strange bubbling sound. the fridge still gets cold but not cold enough and the freezer is very cold but not cold enough to freeze anything. what is wrong with it and can i easily fix it myself.
