Mend Maccat 330 Hot Time Wait

mac 330 running hot?

hi i have a maccat 330. i have not used for some time, when i started it up it got very hot then cut out, i had to wait for it to cool down before it would start again. could anybody help me solve this problem.

Pull the muffler off and look at the condition of the piston, any scuffing, or marks on the piston will mean this saw has had a partial seizure, and will now need to be striped down and possible new cylinder and or piston.
