I have a Thinkpad 600E and is working beautifully except I canna get any sound. I have checked the files etc and hardware. My system anlaysis tells me all is working well. But still no sound...any ideas or solutions would be gratefully welcomed
everything seems to be fine except i have no sound. afrter down loading a virus prevention piece, of which i've forgotten the name, the sound disappeared. please help.

It really could be anything. However, there is a huge amount on www.lenovo.com. They have bought all of IBM's ThinkPad assets. Suggest you download the Hardware Maint Manual. Plus you will find all sorts of hints and tips.
