Mend Peugeot Boxer 1.9D Cooling Fan

peugeot boxer gearbox and cooling fan?

hi, just bought a peugeot boxer 1,9D,year 2001.its very hard to change gears, its only after van is being driven for few mins, also cooling fan is not coming on but fuses seem alright, and spedometer not working but today i noticed the needle is jumping, please help

Hi,first check for water in the gearbox,very common problem,can you put in in gear better with or without the engine running ?,or could be stretched gear linkage cables . check the two relays in a black box just above the radiator as they tend to either fail or get rusted.

gear problem and speedo problem probably caused by water in gearbox. drain gear oil. could be mostly water. leaks from scuttle panel drain pipe on top of gearbox. re route and fill with gear oil. if still not good, and gearbox was full of water, then gearbox ruined. need replacing. check power to fan. probably motor gone.
