How can i fix my Kingston 40gb pendrive?

i have a 40gb kingston pendrive, whenever i plug it in -the LED in the pen drive flashes & also the icon on the tool bar comes out, but no removable drive is visible in My computer,

Kingston has never made a 40GB USB drive. You might have a counterfeit drive which explains why it is failing.
