if the password is in windows it will be best to format the HDD but if the password is in the bios you can remove the battery from the mother board for 30 seconds, you could try som free soft ware from the internet to crack the password.

I have no intention of helping you activate a potentially stolen laptop and I hope that no one else will either.
BTW, the password in the security chip is implemented by IBM in such a way as to turn a stolen ThinkPad into an expensive piece of scrap.
