Mend Volvo S40 24i Problem Cold Lights

sensor problem?

we have a 2007 s40 24i that when its cold it keeps showing that the door is open so lights stay on even though the door is securly shut but when it warms up its ok . is there a sensor or some kind of a switch in the door where i cant see it?
