Hi.
Seems like your Homelite XL is the same as I have.
Mine is running excellent on regular unleaded and 2 % mix Two-stroke oil. Mix it yourself, 2 cl oil for 1 liter of gas.

I have used 50/1 since it was new in the 70's. Still works well but so far unable to find spares...like gaskets.
