Mend Hotpoint Aquarius Fast Lights

Steaming dishwasher?

My hotpoint aquarius has the fast and delicate lights flashing on.
The dishwasher starts, draws water and then seems to boil inside and steam gushes out of the rotary arms.
Really fascinating but no wash cycle. Any suggestions or solutions out there?
